Let's roll........

For all of you who missed Microsoft, Google and the penis cream on the ground floor-no worries. I am here to offer you the opportunity to be a part of something really explosive that is TOTALLY going to change your life. Just kidding. Just thought I'd get into the blog world as a way to share some thoughts, observations and tips I have picked up over the years and hopefully meet some new people to share laughs, stories and funny pictures. Over the next few weeks I (or one of my guest writers) hope to discuss such topics as why hispanic woman smell so good, how to go to the bathroom in a friend's house and other less controversial topics.

A little background on the blog name. In college, my fraternity assigned everyone a nickname that was designed to piss them off for the entire pledging period. Most of my friends got some unoriginal names like doofy, waldo, stoner, etc. I was a hip hop loving, long shorts wearing avid basketball player who also happens to be very white. Jumping on that theme, one of the senior fraternity brothers came up with the name Willis for me because "he thinks he is black". The fact that Willis Drummond from the early 1980s TV show Diff't Strokes was his reference for a black person is funny in itself but for some reason everyone loved the name on me. Willis stuck and became my name both in and out of the fraternity for the next 3 yrs of my life.



People actually called my house and address my mom as Mrs. Willis thinking that must be my last name. While pledging, I was forced to sing the Diff't Strokes theme song and do numerous "whatcha talking about willis?" imitations even though that made no sense since the saying was said by Arnold and not Willis. Needless to say I became obsessed with the show and subsequent insane personal lives of all the actors on that show --especially Willis aka Todd Bridges.



So given the fact that there are 10 billion blogs on the net, I was pretty happy to get one of my top 5 (ok-top 25) choices for a blog name that allows me to have a little fun and do a little reminiscing about college. That being said, please jump on and share some collge stories, political thoughts, sports debates, etc. Everything is fair game except NHL hockey which I hate.
